It's Aby, and this is my digital garden…
I've always wanted to document my own life, write down whatever pops into my head — because, not gonna lie, there are so many words in there and I clearly need to pull them out.
So I decided to write it, online…
My blog will contain things like stuff I like, stuff I do.
I designed my own blog after my first attempt using an Eleventy boilerplate failed. I tried again and succeeded.
Damn, I forgot to mention that I'm not a real dev — I'm just a chemist. But I like design, so I ask AI to help me develop code. Still, in the end, I'm the one who decides this and that.
Then I made my own theme with Eleventy, but honestly, I forget which one because I already started this stuff back in August of last year.
To keep it short: I have two (possibly three) blogs — one is a directory for serious, heavy writing, and the second is for long notes because I love documenting everything.

And I have this obsession with writing that focuses on blogging platforms. I want to write, talk about, and try every blogging platform I can find. I'll do that one by one, Insyaallah.
I also love crawling the internet and putting anything I find onto my blog — just as a personal space, a personal directory.
I love designing things, and my principles are minimal, fast, light, mobile-first, and built to last.
No, I'm not hating on the non-minimal ones. I just prefer the minimal ones because I find they fit me better — it's "so me." So don't get me wrong, eh.
And last but not least, I need to set some rules here, because in every game there must be rules.
Since I realize that I'm only human, I need to make a few things clear when writing posts for my blog and social media. Here they are:
Written by a human
I use AI for brainstorming ideas, helping me write code (since I'm not a real developer). I write posts based on trials I do and after crawling the internet. Sometimes I ask AI for things and then copy them, but in the end, I'm the one who decides what's fine or not — let's say I'm the decider or editor(?). I also double-check or check the actual links provided to make sure they aren't fabricated. I also use AI for translating into English (since I'm not a native English speaker, as someone once said — but I totally forget where; I have no URL link to that blog, sorry).
I'd rather have AI catch my mistakes (misspelled words, lines) first than a human (my reader).
I totally agree with that girl (possibly Russian, using a Ghost blog).
Limited use of generated images
No, I don't want to use many generated images, even though they're so good and tempting. I choose not to. I'd rather use my own designs with Phonto, or use Pexels, Unsplash, and Pixabay, since they don't require attribution and all files are in good condition.
But sometimes it's unavoidable — like when I write something myself and then generate it with tools such as NotebookLM, which automatically produces AI-generated images. So yeah, this part is a grey area or unavoidable. To take responsibility, I'll label such content as "mix" or "built with AI," etc.
All posts are personal
Yes, all my posts are personal stuff. That includes personal taste when curating, personal opinion when reviewing things, and personal vision when designing pages, et cetera, et cetera…
I will not delete posts
I've always wanted to create my own digital garden. To pursue that, I will not delete the posts I make. However, I will delete or rewrite a post if I've made mistakes, such as spreading misinformation, or when I've gained new knowledge (been illuminated) about the things I've written.
I may earn a (bit of) money
Maybe I'll receive a bit of money from affiliate links I embed in posts or links to my own stuff. Nothing fancy, nothing pushy, nor forced — just a few words to clarify this.
